| - Stopped in to have a drink on my free day & avoid rush hour traffic on Sahara.
It took a while for one of the bartenders to end their conversation in the corner & tend to the bar, but at least they were somewhat friendly. The bartender, who seemed like the main one while I was there, wasn't very engaging despite me being one of the few patrons there.
They have a decent selection of beer & wine. The cocktail list, however, could use a little work. It definitely lacked ingenuity, so everything seemed... boring. Nothing really caught my eye, but I eventually decided on the berry-mint lemonade. What better way to combat the sweltering Vegas heat than with a glass of alcoholic lemonade? This drink is made with: Belvedere wild berry vodka, raspberries, mint, and of course, lemonade.
I think I was expecting the drink to be sweeter than what I had tasted with a hint of mint, but I was wrong. It had a strong mint flavor that overpowered the berry flavors. I didn't expect it to be overbearingly minty, but it was still refreshing. I guess they just have to work on the ratio of flavors to make a balanced drink.
The bar itself had an upscale-ish ambience that matches with the whole pseudo-ritzy feel of the SLS. It's the lobby bar, so it's a prime location to people watch since its facing the hotel's front desk. This place seems to draw in the older crowd, which there's nothing wrong with that, but it's definitely not my scene. Pretty sure I was the youngest one in that joint & got stared at like I didn't belong there.
This bar left me feeling unimpressed. I heard there's live music playing sometimes but other than that, this bar is a total snoozefest.
