  • Beware! Arizona is notorious for Garage Door ripoffs. Google it sometime for interesting reading. Should've done my homework a little more diligently on this one. After seeing all the five-star ratings for this business, I figured what could possibly go wrong. After phoning Adrian he said he would be over the following day. I text him my information and waited for his phone call the following day. After no response I decided to call again and that's when he informed me he would be sending his full-time tech. It was plain and simple, one of the springs on a two spring garage door had broken. The tech ( who was mediocre at best ) proceeded to fix the door and after completion finalized the bill. Talk about shell shock! To my surprise the springs were $65 each $150 labor and a $55 service call for a grand total of $345, and to add insult to injury, the tech informs me that since I'm using a credit card it'll be an additional 3%. It was a classic case of nickel and dimming me to death. After voicing my displeasure with the tech he said he wouldn't charge me the 3% for using a credit card. Wooohooo. In Adrian's defense, after phoning him and voicing my displeasure, he said he would knock $30 off the bill but he had to be profitable somehow. If he's not going to do the job himself why should he make an extra hundred dollars just for answering the phone and scheduling a tech to do the work. I understand trying to make a profitable business but don't do it on the backs of your customers. Quite frankly I have no idea how this business maintains a five star rating. After phoning a few other establishments and getting quotes,(something I should've done in the first place) the highest price for the same job was $238. In fact one establishment was shocked that they would charge for labor that high plus a service call.
