It was an average hotel. I had a lot issues with the hotel. For one they charge quite a bit for the resort fee and on top of that they don't offer free parking for hotel guests even when we're paying that resort fee. So there really is no incentive or loyalty to customers that are staying at their hotel. It looks more like they're trying to nickel and dime as much as they can from their guests. A resort fee usually encompasses all amenities being offered at the hotel. Another issue with the hotel was that the elevators were really really slow, especially during afternoon to evening times. There is at least a 5 -10 min wait during those peak times. Comparing to other hotels on the strip that is way too slow and they need to seriously fix this issue. Check in times were also atrocious. After a long flight the last thing I want to do is wait 20 - 25 mins in line to check in. There was clearly not enough people working at the check in desk so these delays could've easily been avoided. The check in staff were very nice and courteous under those conditions and could've used more help to alleviate those lines.
The room was decent sized, I had a king suite room which had a nice view of the Bellagio Fountain. However the room had no dressers so I had to find creative ways to put my clothes away. There was a closet with hangers but then there wasn't enough hangers either. The cleaning crew were decent but my cupboards on top of the kitchenette sink had opened containers of sugar, salt, cookies, wetnaps and some other things. It wasn't organized either so I don't know if the cleaning crew forgot to clean up from the past guests or if that stuff is supposed to be there, if it's supposed to be there then they should organize it a bit better. The toilet had issues where it would run constantly throughout the night so I had to occasionally flush it again to stop it from running. The light switches would also take forever to turn on the lights and sometimes I would have to press really hard just to make them turn on.
If you have a conference at the hotel and they offer a discounted rate then it might be worth it to stay there. But if you're vacationing there with no discount and with the really expensive resort fee and incredibly pricey parking fees added on top of that then it's definitely not worth it. There are cheaper alternatives on the strip. The hotel had nice views, comfortable bed and decent sized rooms. But with the negatives it really weighed down my overall score of this hotel. It's a shame it's a really nice looking hotel but there are just too many issues.
