I decided to pony up and pay the expensive green fee (185) because this course came so highly recommend. I remember playing it a number of years ago, but it had been some time and it all felt very new to me. Anyway...
The course was in great shape and played true to the yardage all day. I was striking the ball really well and the weather was perfect so I had little to complain about, except the greens. Holy moly were they fast and tough to read. Seriously some of the tougher greens I've putted on in a while. Apparently they are about to rip up all the greens and replant. Just an FYI, the monument course is shutting down for the next 3 months so call ahead to confirm.
All in all it was a solid day. The staff was attentive and friendly and made for a five star experience.
