  • As a Disabled Retired Marine you would think USAA would have my back. We'll let me tell you that's not the case. It's been well documented for almost two years now that my USAA had been hacked. After reporting numerous fraudulent charges to my account, I received provisional credits as you would expect. However, USAA pulled a fast one on me on 11/08/17. After receiving my $1800.00 rent payment on my CO rental, USAA snatched $1361.00 all at once. Called it a Debit Card Recovery. That was all the provisional credits I received from the fraud charges. Then to cause insult to injury, they bounced the $1500 check that was pending the next day. They would have known that by taking back the fraud charges that would bounce that check. Then they had the balls to charge me $29 fee on top of that. I had deposited that $1500 into my Chase account due to all the compromised I've had with USAA. Now my Chase balance is $191.00 in the negative accruing it's own overdraft fees on a daily basis. To make it even worse, all the checks I wrote off that $1500 Will bounce and those merchants will be charging me fees based on their checks not clearing. When I was passed on to USAA's escalation department, all they told me was the transactions were verified by the merchants. Doesn't USAA understand what fraud is? The criminal steals your card number , then goes on a spending spree. Of course the merchant is going to say it's my card. After being with USAA I'm at the end of my rope. In have all my policies with them, car insurance , mortgage, renters policy, bank account, with them to name a few. I'm not going to allow the criminals to steal my money, then have USAA steal it for.a 2nd time. I went to the Phoenix police department today to file a identity theft case. As far as I'm concerned USAA is no different then the criminals. I'm going to reach out to.the CEO an express my concern Until then, I'm going to post this theft to every online outlet I can find. USAA is support to support Veterans, not steal from their accounts.
