Just average for me, but maybe it was an off day. When my husband and I arrived (10:30am on a Saturday) the line was long and the place was packed. Always a good sign! I was pretty surprised to not see a list of bagel sandwiches on the menu. I was thinking it would be similar to Owen's bagels, which I love- it wasn't. I only saw a handful of basic breakfast bagel sandwiches (egg, cheese, meat or cream cheese). The rest of the menu consisted of deli sides and sandwiches on bread or ciabatta.
I got the basic egg, cheese and turkey sausage on an everything bagel (tasted). My husband got the chicken mozzarella sandwich on ciabatta. We waited about 10 minutes and bam our food was served. At first glance my bagel sandwich looked delicious. I bit into it and it was hard and somewhat burnt. Tasted stale. I look the top of my bagel off to only see a turkey patty literally 1/3 the size of the bagel and the egg was super thin. I could barely taste it. I took the top off to eat the rest. I'm not sure if it was because I got my bagel toasted or what, but it didn't taste good nor was soft on the inside like the other reviews. My husband's on the other hand was delicious and I would get that again hands down. Maybe I should of stuck with a basic bagel (not toasted) with their homemade cream cheese.....there's always next time.
I would go back and try Poppy's again because I think they deserve another try, but I'm not in any rush to go back soon.
