| - We met friends there for a breakfast al fresco. I've been to the Farm in South Mountain several times. Over the years, I've attended a wedding, shopped their produce stands, visited their art studio, breathed some fresh air and picked up organic greens and chicken eggs. Back to my Morning Glory impressions! Located in back, we drove to its parking lot. We sat outside and ordered juices, coffee and hot cocoa. My 8oz cranberry juice at $3.50 , l thought was a bit pricey especially when it is served in a disposable plastic cup. I expected a "greener approach".
I chose their breakfast special, a meddley of sauteed veggies (bell peppers, squash, potatoes, onions...) topped with over easy eggs. My friends chose the Montecristo brioche sandwich and my hubby chose the All American breakfast. Montecristo was a two thick slices of brioche, folded eggs and ham bathed in syrup. All American was eggs any style, sausage, biscuit, cubed potatoes. My "special" was not special. Veggies were overcooked and oily, soggy. I was looking forward to eating locally grown produce but their kitchen killed it.
Four very average breakfasts, 1 coffee, 1 cranberry juice, 1 hot cocoa later, (all served in non recyclable cups), including tips totalled $86. Morning Glory is out of line.
