I was really looking forward to eating here when we were on vacation, and I am sad to say that it fell short of my expectations. For the prices that we paid, the quality of food was not worth it. The atmosphere (the setting was amazing) and the friendliness of the staff were top notch, but the food fell flat. The appetizers were OK. I started with the scallops, which were a special. In my experience, scallops should be light and almost melt in your mouth. These ones were hard to cut through, and they were chewy/rubbery. They brought us out some homemade bread, which was very light and delicious, and probably my favorite thing of the meal. Then I got the filet for dinner with a side of green beans. I asked for my filet to be done medium, and it was done medium well with little to no extra sauce/flavoring around it (which the flavoring/sauce/juices were delicious). The green beans were also mushy. Not crisp at all. They were overdone as well. It was just very disappointing for the quality you expect when pay for a good meal. I would try there again just because the service and atmosphere was so good, and everyone deserves at least one more chance to prove themselves.
