I love Thai food and have made it a personal quest to try every single Thai restaurant in and around the city. I'm nearly finished with that adventure and despite wanting to get to Bangkok Balcony for years, I hadn't made it till today. I consider myself a near expert on Thai food (big shout out to northside Nicky's for years of showing me how it's done) and I can say without question that I'd be hard pressed to come up with a place that Bangkok Balcony is better than. Now, not that it was awful, it just was completely bland, without flavor, and with pork that was just a touch chewy. In fact, if I had never had Thai food before and this was my first exposure to it, I'd never eat it again.
The ginger pork was like eating soggy cardboard. I always like spicy Thai. This had no spice and no flavor. The salad, soup, and spring roll apps were ok. But the main entree? No thanks.
There are FAR better places to get your Thai cravings satisfied. I'd go to any of those before I'd come here.
