This is was my first time not only here, but trying a Japanese restaurant in downtown Toronto (just moved to the city, hey!). We went for a friend's birthday and I can't stop thinking about what a good time we all had. The service was friendly, quick and the entire atmosphere of the restaurant was amazing. I see some people complaining about the yelling but I definitely enjoyed it when entering/leaving the restaurant.
The prices were a bit steep (there were only three of us and we had a $160 bill), but I definitely can't complain about the food either. I had the unagi bibimbap upon recommendation by our server and it was bomb. The scallop sashimi, fried chicken, and banana tempura were also bomb. Sake served in a bamboo chute is also a really nice touch.
I wish the portion sizes were a bit bigger, but I'll definitely visit again.
