| - My son and I were here to celebrate his 19th birthday. Each year we go to a different Italian restaurant in town . . .
I don't even know where to start....
When we entered the restaurant we were greeted by an older lady who was the hostess. She gave us the once over and a disapproving look and the way she spoke, was "snooty". We were seated at a little two top table in the corner of the restaurant even though there were plenty of larger tables as the restaurant was not busy.
The server assistant brought us each water. After maybe 5 minutes the waiter came by and rattled off the specialty items. He also had quite the "attitude". We were ready to order about 5 minutes later, but just sat there. After about 20 minutes another waiter came and took our order. The server assistant refilled our drinks, brought us the bread, brought us the food, cleared our dishes, brought us our dessert, The waiter reappeared after we were done eating to ask us how everything was. The hostess "almost" redeemed herself by giving us a faint smile when she brought me the check.
I have never been treated so shitty by any staff at any restaurant. I'm in my mid-50's and have been to hundreds of restaurants. Even my son was irritated and thought they were extremely rude. He is majoring in Culinary in school himself.
The food itself was pretty good. My son had the chicken parmigiana and he liked it. I had the Chicken Ravioli with Pesto Cream Sauce. The ravioli was good but I was NOT a fan of the sauce. It was way too thick, not what I would call a cream sauce at all.
The highlight of the whole meal were the desserts. My son had the Tiramisu and I had the cannoli. They were both VERY good.
By the time the meal was over, I had really wished I had cash on me because believe me, I would have tipped the server assistant and stiffed the douche bag waiter. Unfortunately, though, I didn't. I debated not leaving a tip at all but then decided to leave a 25% tip in hopes that maybe it would "maybe" make the waiter feel like a bit of an jerk. With his personality though, it was probably a moot point.
Funniest part was, that I probably make more money than any of those people dining in there do.
I have NEVER been treated so poorly by someone in my life.
We will NEVER go back and I feel bad because we were there to celebrate my son's birthday and it was such a miserable experience.
