| - When my Solar Hot Water Heater experienced a "FLO" Code error (tank needs to be topped off) way more frequently than normal (5x this year vs 1x every 8 to 14 months), my regular company failed to respond within 48 hours. So, on Sunday, I got on-line and did a search. Through HomeAdvisor, Aqua Science was 1 of only 2 companies (my regular one wasn't there) that was listed.
Now, being on a Sunday, I wasn't expecting a response. But, I was shocked (and pleasantly surprised) that in less than 30 minutes, I received an inquiry from them as to my problem. I gave Jeff (the sales rep) the info and he said that a scheduler would contact me on Monday.
Sure enough. Zachary (CSR) contacted me early Monday afternoon. And after exchanging a few e-mails, we set an appointment window for Wednesday.
On Wednesday, I received a e-mail about 2 hours before the tech (Derick) was to arrive and Derick sent me a text when he was about 20 minutes away. 8)
Now, after a through check of the system, there wasn't any noticeable leakage to account for the error code happening so often, so Derick and I discussed potential things to try.
And, their service fee is quite reasonable, compared to my regular company. So, overall, I am very pleased with Aqua Science and the staff was polite, courteous and knowledgeable.
SIDE NOTE: I am a firm believer in Solar Electric. But, if ANY company says that you need a Solar Hot Water Heater system first, LOOK elsewhere.
The company (NOT Aqua Science and not listed on Yelp) who sold us the system promised: 2 Tank System (only 1 tank originally installed; 2nd tank installed after writing a letter to the Co President), Instant Hot Water (doesn't happen) and at least a $80 per month savings in my electric bill (didn't happen; lucky to save $20). Now, between the cost of the system ($9.2 K), a new Power Supply ($225.00), New Panels (Warranty, but labor was $450.00) and 2 service charge fees ($245.00), we will NEVER recoup the costs.
However, the Duct sealing that was included was a HUGE benefit, and something you can get separately. I was able to up my thermostat from 79 to 81 (with ceiling fans) during the summer.
