| - A reviewer referred to the north tower as the 'ghetto tower'. I concur.
The reality is, I got a really good deal on Priceline (express deal, for those interested) and the location is good in general & I was attending a conference that was a 15min walk away.
If I were to have paid full price (or if I drove & had to pay for the parking - egads! by the way), I'd stay away.
The rooms were dated, the bed was severely lackluster (not as bad as say, a Days Inn, but not even comparable to other 3 star hotels), and there was a weird feeling of cheap in the room. For instance, they used plastic cups versus glass for your option if you wanted to utilize cups for a beverage.
The same reviewer also mentioned the air conditioner issue. Yes. Another cheap feeling element. Barely was on.
An upside is the nicer lobby that was mentioned and I felt the reception was smooth.
The staff in general seemed pretty friendly, as well.
I definitely encourage folks to read several reviews, which I should have done, to be prepared for the kinks this place has.
