| - Friendly professional staff... but wait... don't be deceived. There is a possibility they are just trying to get your money at the expense of pain and suffering through dental torture. I had a weird feeling when I went for my first appointment, leaving with an estimate of more than $4000 in "urgent" dental procedures. Thankfully, I listened to my gut, otherwise I would have ended up with several fillings and a couple of crowns on top of a "root planing," or deep dental cleaning.
I just didn't feel right- it didn't make sense that my teeth could have gone so wrong in less than a year. I went for a second-opinion, more than a year later and didn't mention to the new dentist what had been discussed with me by Dr Myers. At the end of the visit, the dentist told me everything looked great and he would see me in 6 months... when i told him the story, he was appalled and almost embarrassed, saying that "this economy had made honest people thieves."
Just to be sure, I went to another dentist who examined me and agreed with the second dentist. I called Dr Myers office today to discuss it and, although they were polite and returned my call quickly, they offered no explanation regarding why two of their colleagues had an opposite opinion. I wanted to give them an opportunity to rectify the situation, but they didn't seem too interested in my story.
I am giving them 1 star because it is a very serious thing for a medical professional to be so extreme on the side of whatever makes them the most money. The office staff, as mentioned, are friendly and courteous, and the office is very modern and nice... maybe that's why they have to do unnecessary procedures on unknowing customers to pay their bills.
