My husband and I stopped by Crêperie Chez Suzette on our way back from a nice day at Montreal's Old Port this spring. Since he is Texan, I thought it would be a good occasion to have him try another sample of Québécois cuisine. Unfortunately, however, the food turned out to be quite bland; although it didn't taste bad, it lacked the je ne sais quoi which makes a meal memorable. I had the Crêpe Argenteuil and he had Quiche Provençale, both of which seriously lacked seasoning. Other than that, their coffee and drinks were fair and their staff was pleasant enough.
Conclusion: Since my cooking's better and tastier, next time I'll Isave my money to buy fresh ingredients and cook those dishes at home.
