  • This Alterations Express locations is terrible! They gouge you on price (there is no price list; it is completely arbitrary) and the quality of their work is not good. On one occasion, they ruined a hem on my jeans, which are now unwearable. I pointed this out to them and, not only did they not accept responsibility and blamed ME for it, but they would not give me a refund for ruining my pants. On another occasion, I just needed a slider on a zipper replaced (a cheap fix). They told me since they didn't have the right size slider, they would have to remove and replace the entire zipper, which would be $34, and it would take a week. I asked them why I would have to pay so much just because THEY didn't have the part, but they said that's the price the manager decided, and she sets the prices. I went to the other Alternations Express location on Chagrin, where they fixed the slider for a third of the price, and in two days. I was also told by a staff member that when you pick up your alteration, if you take it home without trying it on again in store, they have the right to charge you again if you bring it back because they didn't do the alteration correctly. Sometimes the lines are so long to get a dressing room (I've waited 45 mins-hour before) that you just don't have the time to wait to try on the garment again. Avoid this location!!
