Good clinic! Doctors and staff that my two Danes were treated by very professional and nice! Also when my Bowie needed a quarantine they took super great care of him which I'm really grateful for.
The only thing that I don't quite appreciate is something that happened recently!
My Molly was prescribed chewable rimadyl very toxic (over dose can be fatal) anti inflammatory medication. The vet neither warn us when we were there nor put the note on a discharge paper about overdose side effects.
I'm sure we all know to store meds in a safe place but when u giving those with the dog food u just set them on the kitchen counter. Right? And anyway which dog eats medicine?? Well apparently my dogs! They grabbed two boxes of chewable rimadyl , but left one box of non chewable antibiotics behind! Why? ...because chewable rimadyl smells and tastes like treats! They chewed thru the container and ate them all.
$1500 later my dogs are ok!! But all that could have been avoided!
So to you my fellow pets' parents who are as inexperienced with chewable meds be careful with those! And to the stuff of Durango Animal Hospital, please make sure your patients' parents know that chewable meds especially like rimadyl have to be stored away from dogs nose and mouth!
