| - La fitness has the advantage of many locations, so convenience is a plus. Beyond that, it is difficult to find good things about this place. It's dirty and the free weight area smells of serious body odor.
I attempted to get my free evaluation with a trainer. I was told to warm up on a treadmill and someone would be right with my. No one showed. I have seen trainers work with clients and they only use machines. There's no skill in that. One day I asked a trainer to help me find a hook for the cable station, he told me he didn't work there, laughed and walked away. Later, I saw him behind the front desk.
You'd be hard pressed to find a safe challenging group fitness class. Jo, a favorite instructor, has good choreography, but likes people to run around and high five each other or dosido as part of choreography. I'm not a germaphobe, but why would I was to touch with other sweaty women. The tues 7 pm instructor hasn't changed her choreography since I joined in May. The wednesday 545 step instructor might secretly be working for an orthopedic surgeon as her moves are a knee surgery waiting to happen.
Overall, this place saddens me. I've been in the health and fitness field for some time. If I didn't travel frequently and need the convenience of the numerous national locations, this would be the last place I'd join.
Step it up, la fitness!!!
