  • All American K9 is absolutely the way to get your dog trained!! I have a golden retriever, Enzo, who was just over a year old as I began this training. Before I began training, my dog had several issues. He had recently been attacked by another dog and was acting aggressive around other dogs because he was scared so I couldn't take him anywhere. The other major problem was that he was eating rocks from my community dog park. I would catch him chewing on them and take away as many as I could but he still swallowed enough that I had to get emergency surgery to have the rocks removed. He also had always pulled on his leash but it had gotten much worse after these issues. By the end of a short 10-minute walk, I already wanted to pull my hair out. It was BAD. Before these issues had occurred, I'd taken him to several treat-based training classes in the area and although I saw some progress, it was NOTHING like the change I saw through All-American K9s. My dog learned when I was holding a treat and when I wasn't so he would only obey when a treat was present (too smart for his own good). I had been focusing on "positive" reinforcement and was hesitant to use an e-collar but I no longer have any issues with it. I tried the collar shock in my hand before putting it on my dog and it doesn't hurt at all, it just feels like a split second of the tingly feeling you get if your hand/arm falls asleep. And after the first week of adjusting to a new way of communicating using the collar, I found that my dog needed fewer and fewer reminders to stay in the right place to the point where I barely even need the remote anymore because he just does what he's asked to do.I was a bit hesitant to spend this money as it is expensive but it is WELL worth it. After the first lesson, there was already a major change. I was diligent in keeping consistent between lessons and going on walks to practice but it was already such an easy walk compared to before training that it wasn't a chore to practice, it was just a fun adventure with my dog. After the second lesson, he was already off-leash just needing some polishing. Now, I take him for long walks and toss a ball with him off-leash and I never have to worry that there will be an issue. The hardest part about our walks now is remembering to bring the leash. Another great part of this training is that it is SO easy to introduce any new training rules you'd like to give your dog. Using this method, I've successfully trained all of the basics as well as some more complicated things like training him to stay out of certain rooms, for example the kitchen so that if I'm cooking and go to open the hot oven, he's not in harms way. Because of Bob's training with All American K9's, my dog and I are both so much happier. We can take stress-free walks, visit stores together, or happily sit at dog-friendly restaurants with no behavior problems. My dog is now allowed to go so many more places because he is so well-behaved, and we get compliments almost everywhere we go. Thanks Bob!!
