I was excited to see a Starbucks alternative not far from the new place we moved into. We prefer iced coffee but they don't offer simple syrup. Anyone who knows coffee, and I am assuming if you are a coffee shop you do, knows regular sugar does not dissolve in iced coffee. When asked if they provide simple syrup, which most other locally owned coffee shops do, the girl at the register didn't even know what is was when I described it. Instead, they offer a number of flavor syrups for a lot more money, which I don't want. This makes the cost of their iced coffee skyrocket. They are overpriced on desserts and pastries and their specialty drinks too. We go out of our way to go all the way into Waxhaw for a free simple syrup alternative. I shouldn't have to pay extra to sweeten my coffee. We don't go here but would easily frequent it if their prices were more reasonable, say a dollar less on everything, and they offered simple syrup. It's simple! We make it at home ourselves weekly.
