I don't understand the hype about this place. I went in, very excited from the reviews, praise from friends and facade claiming its superior Italian cuisine.
Upon coming in, making light of the interior, I felt like I stepped into the wrong century, and the guests dining there confirmed that. I think I was the youngest person there. Our waitress was extremely inhospitable and uncomfortable. After finding mold on our starting bread, she told me to just, "scrape it off." Uh, no thanks, I managed to lose my appetite after you heavily examined and breathed on my food.
The food did not live up to the hype-- I would go to the exhausted Tutto Pasta on State St over this place any day.
