| - Take the time to read this review in it's entirety as it will COMPLETELY convince you to NEVER buy a car... or even CONSIDER buying a car at this terrible dealership.
I was set, 150% set on a 2015 Toyota Corolla LE model, the sales representative who assisted my along the way was Ramon. After hours of going back on forth on prices, we finally started to enter the range that I wanted when it came to monthly payments on buying a car. We shook hands when we reached my dream number and the car was mine. Deep down I felt like I wasn't getting the best deal, but I desperately needed a car so I did what I thought I had to do at that time. My father was upset when the numbers weren't where HE wanted them to be, so he asked them to give me slight incentives in order to keep me as a customer. They fought the incentive that my father had asked for which was 1 extra year extension of the maintenance warranty as the price was $500 off from where he would've liked to see the price. After constantly telling me that the incentive I wanted was impossible, I told them I would walk out without a purchase. Of course, they lied saying it wasn't possible but when I threatened to leave, they suddenly seemed to make it "possible"... hmm... ironic, isn't it? I went in the finance room that I was going to sign a contract for $225/Month with 0% Financing and $5500 down.
After being at the numbers I wanted, and the incentives I wanted.. I finally made my way over to the financial specialist... Han. Han is a Vietnamese gentleman with the absolute worst customer service skills and attitude I have ever seen at any car dealership & keep in mind... I went to 5+ dealerships that day alone. Please keep in mind that I am only 19 years old.. I am a first time buyer so I had warned all representatives I would be calling my father for input quite often. When I get in the room and begin finalizing signatures... they bumped my price up about $15/ month... My end price was about $250/ month... HOW IS THE ORIGINAL $225 price anything close to $250?? The answer is... it's not. I am a student in college, $25 a month for 60 MONTHS IS SUBSTANTIAL. I was told that the extra money per month was for the GAP insurance. Obviously the GAP insurance is a necessity and that is something that should have either A) Been included in my $225 payment per month OR B) I should have been warned that somewhere down the line of contracts I'd be signing today, my price would NOT be what they had originally told me.
The funny part? This was no where near the bad part. After I had told Han that I refuse to pay the extra monthly payment... he was EXTREMELY rude, made absolutely no effort to even ask why I was upset and why I refused to sign. He said he would not budge at all & the gap fee was something they would not give a discounted rate for. When I told him my father told me not to sign, he literally told me "Your father is out his mind" in a derogative tone, and that is where I lost my cool. YOU DO NOT YELL AT YOUR CUSTOMERS AND TALK BAD ABOUT THEM, that is rule number one that every single sales specialist should know, maybe he didn't get the memo. My biggest problem is that this place is full of lies. You cannot tell a customer they will be getting a rate if it is not something you will honor.
I lost respect for Ramon when I walked out completely In tears, explained the situation to him & he also made no efforts to stop me. All that was mentioned by Ramon was the fact that he wasn't "going to be making any money off of me & I wasted his time". Again, not something you want to say to your customers. As I drove off in tears almost having a panic attack, I get a call 5 minutes later from Ramon asking me to come back, and that they will honor my $225/month payment WITH gap insurance. Now my question is.. why couldn't they have done that while I was in tears sitting in their office? This place low balls customers to an extreme and if you want to throw money out the window... this IS the place for you. If you want to purchase a quality Toyota at a lower price with WAY more incentives... check out Auto Nation Toyota just about 5-8 miles down the road on Sahara.
