I showed up at 7:50am for an 8am appointment and wasn't picked up from the waiting room until 8:55... thank goodness they had wifi, but i had asked the receptionists at 8:30 if they were running behind and they said they didn't have any information on that...I then checked back with them at 8:45 letting them know I had been waiting 45 min past my appointment time and that I had a 9:30 work meeting and would need to leave soon, so they finally sent a message to the medical team. I was picked up 10 min after that, but wasn't given an explanation beyond "it's a busy morning". I think there should be some protocols in place to notify patients if things are running behind and give them the option to reschedule. Also it'd be helpful for the receptionists to keep tabs on how long people have been waiting.
To give them the benefit of the doubt, there were masses of patients that came in, were seen, and left (while I waited), so perhaps the DMV-like wait time was unusual... but it would have just been nice for there to be more communication regarding if there were delays, how long I would likely wait for, etc.
The doctor I saw was very friendly and personable and made sure to be efficient when I told her I had to be out the door by 9:20 (so I could at least call in to my meeting from my car - no way I could make it to my office on time). It was just frustrating to have waited 55 min for a 10 min appointment, after specifically booking the earliest possible appointment to avoid extra wait time.
I will update this review after my next visit if the wait time improves!
