Another lunch trip with the coworkers.
We have been threatening each other with a visit to this pace for some time now, the meteors aligned over Russia and we found today, Friday was a great day for a trip to Simplee Sushi.
My fellow diners each had a bento box. I opted for a strictly sushi themed lunch. Started things off with a miso soup, which I always try at a sushi restaurant. When the miso is good the sushi typically follows suit, and this miso was almost the best I have sampled in the Queen City.
I Followed up the miso with the tuna and cucumber salad appetizer which was very good. A couple of pieces of salmon sashimi and spicy scallop nigiri rounded things off.
The portions were a bit smaller than I have been used to, but the friendly service and comfortable atmosphere were more than enough to offset that.
Both my coworkers mentioned that their bento boxes were delicious but wanted a tad larger portion as well.
Overall at least a four to four and a half star rating for Simplee Sushi. I have no doubt that my coworkers and I will be returning here in the future.
