| - True Food Kitchens seem to be popping up everywhere lately, and I finally made my way to one with a large group of colleagues for a group lunch. This location has a bright, airy layout - an impressive accomplishment considering the 115 degree summer heat.
The menu is varied, but pretty pricey - a cheaper lunch will set you back $15-$20, while a more ambitious one could easily rack up $30 if you're adding a beverage and ordering, say, the Poke Bowl. For the Turkey Burger + Kale Salad ($14) I ordered, it was a reasonable deal considering the size of the burger. Fries would have rounded it out, but fries are not on Dr. Weil's recommended foods list (sweet potato hash, however, is).
Everyone seemed to be pretty happy with what they ordered, and everything from the pizzas to the grain bowls looked fresh, healthy, and hearty. I loved the overall vibe of the place, and would definitely come back to explore the menu. Service was also friendly and attentive, even for a large group.
The only thing knocking a star off for me are the prices, but if that's no problem for you, check TFK out ASAP!
