Been here twice, once for a drink at a gathering after work and a second time for a quick bite at 9pm on a Friday. The difference between the former and the latter was night and day.
When I was there for a pint the service at the bar was good, the music was at a decent volume, conducive to carrying on a conversation. The place I went to for dinner was a different pub- the music was way too loud (it's a jukebox that includes a few really lame tracks, not a stereo system, so that makes a difference) and the service was pretty weak. Our waiter took our food order and I told him we'd have water for the moment, and after he brought our food we didn't see him again! No follow up to ask if we had decided on pints or if we were enjoying our meal. The place wasn't very busy, so that couldn't serve as an excuse. And we didn't get so much as a simple 'thank you' when we paid our bill. Also, the fish and chips were pretty mediocre, but for $8 (daily special) I suppose you get what you pay for.
