  • I returned my leased 2015 Tacoma and was ready to look at replacing it with a new Tacoma. There was a local offer available on the Toyota.com website. I presumed local Toyota dealerships would be happy to honor that deal (and maybe other local dealerships would have done so), but Toyota of Surprise played games and proposed outrageous lease numbers. And this was AFTER I repeatedly told them about the advertised offer I was interested in and showed it to them. The local advertised offer on the Tacoma was for the TRD Off-Road Double Cab Short bed 4x4. In short, it was $299 per month after $3,299 due at signing. As can be seen in the included photos, the "due at signing" already includes the $650 acquisition fee. Taxes, license, and doc fees would still be added on. Clear enough to understand. I mean, I'm not selling cars all day long, but I understand those terms... so I figured that the people at this dealership would understand those terms. UNFORTUNATELY... greed and feeling the need to "play the game" to screw me ensured that they lost this deal. They initially came out with $3,300 down and $467 per month (PLUS they added another $650 acquisition fee)! Just so we are clear, the local offer that I asked them to honor amounts to $15,144 in total payments... while the "offer" that this dealership presented amounts to $20,762! Why do I have to negotiate them down to an advertised offer?!! I'm shocked that this dealership could have as many good reviews as it does. I say this because after a little back and forth and hearing how "great of a deal" this was and finally leaving because of their nonsense (or incompetence), then I was hounded by calls and threats to close my old lease so I would lose that equity and that "great deal"! By the way, if they had had actually included that equity in the deal... and actually provided the discount off of the purchase price like their website offers on the particular vehicle I was looking at, then that would mean that the payment would likely actually be LOWER THAN the local offer, NOT $5,000 HIGHER! Keep this in mind if you're in the northwest Valley and considering a Toyota. They will try to screw you big time at this dealership and they DO NOT honor Toyota's advertised specials here. Do yourself a favor and find another Toyota dealership. I know that I will take my business to a dealer that honors Toyota's advertised offers and doesn't try to screw me. I'm too well-versed in contracts and negotiation to fall for their games, but if this review prevents at least one other person from being suckered into believing their made up numbers, then that will make me feel good. Toyota of Surprise, you lost my business because of your games and nonsense. It's really that simple. *ONE STAR*
