| - My girlfriend and I decided to take a trip to this new and fun looking joint that just opened up in the heart of old town Scottsdale. Seemingly innocent in many ways, this cookie place isn't so innocent at all. The first issue is that when we first tried the dough the server told us to do half ice cream and half cookie because it is so overpoweringly sweet that many people cannot handle it. Shortly thereafter we asked one of the girls for the nutrition facts of the cup, seeing as if it was that of the normal cookie x 10 given the portion size, it would be astronomical. She responded with a "we actually don't know that, they don't tell us". Odd.
Later this evening we did some research on this, and turns out one scoop of cookie dough (IF it's portioned correctly, which most are not), could hold up to 500 calories per scoop... with 54 grams of sugar and 30+ grams of Fat. Seeing that they serve up to 3 scoops per person, this seems like a health crisis waiting to happen.
My girlfriend and I are currently 6 hour PAST consuming the dough, both very ill, headaches and unable to focus at work. Both being heathy habitual people, it's nice to have something sweet once in awhile, but not that of a weeks worth of sugar in one cup.
Thank you unbaked for contributing to an epidemic that we are trying to hard to contain, by being unethical about your nutrition facts.
