St-Viateur or Fairmount Bagel - grab a fresh, artisanal bagel out of a stone oven, knead and cut by hands, you can't go wrong. In fact, we just did both in one day AND they both were making the sesame seed bagels to boot!
St-Viateur offers a softer bagel and with a crust that is slight crisp and a bit sweet. Plus they have 3 locations and if you're a photo-fiend, a better place to see how it's all done.
Fairmount has more a bite, a chew and the sesame seeds are toasted. Ate the other half 2 days later and the texture is about the same.
It's all preference people! Go for the hot one.
