I was looking forward to dining at a Mario Batali establishment but the experience did not live up to the hype. The quality of the food was just so so. I had the pasta with lobster and found the dish to be a bit greasy and lobster undercooked. The wines by the glass were limited and quite expensive, even with paying a Las Vega premium. What really ruined the evening was the whole doggy bag situation. Rather than just wrapping our food, they wrap it then give you a ticket so you can pick it up at the hostess stand. We ended up with three bags. I took my ticket and retrieved the bags. I then went back to the bar to retrieve my dining companion. Out of nowhere a suited man comes after me as said "ma'am, I need to see your ticket." I told him I didn't have a ticket because I gave it to the hostess. He then asked to look in my bags. I asked if he was accusing me of stealing doggie bags and noted that if I were doing so why would I come back into the restaurant. I never got a real apology. Just an explanation that 3 doggie bags was unusual (as though I packed them!). I suggested that it might be nice to give us a free dessert or knock a glass of wine off the bill. They didn't see the point. The whole think was ridiculous and put a damper on the evening. Over a doggie bag!! We spent a lot of money at B&B. I didn't expect to be treated like that. I will not be returning.
