I had mixed feelings about this business. They called me & asked if I could arrive 30 min earlier to my Sat appt which was 100% fine. When I got there, no one was behind the reception counter. When a lady came out from the back, she asked me what my name was no less than 3 times. She had some sort of schedule book that she kept looking in and looked at me quizzically as to why I was there. Her English was horrible. I tried explaining that I was there for a 3:00 PM appt and someone called me earlier to confirm. She still looked at me like I had no appt. Someone else came out from the back & asked me what my name was (again repeating this process all over again) and me becoming very frustrated now. I've now told them what my name was to three different people no less than 6 times. I was about to walk out when the therapist came out and showed me to a room & also asked me what my name was. It must be difficult to understand my name to Thai speaking people...
The back massage overall was great. I went in for my upper back/neck and I felt much better leaving. However, 1 strange thing happened at the time to one of my ankles that I am not happy about. He was stretching all my extremities and got to my ankles. I think he worked on it a little to harshly and at the time, I felt like it was too rough. Now I cannot walk on my ankle without throbbing pain shooting up my leg. It feels like it's out of joint and cannot get it back in again. I never had a problem with this ankle before this. It's really a quite strange thing happening. Have it wrapped in ice & don't know what I am going to do here.
I'd like to go back and ask if there is anything they can do to maybe put it back in place, but I am worried to even ask because their English was so poor. I honestly don't think I'll be able to properly communicate with them what the problem is.
As I was checking out with the therapist and paying my bill, one of the original three trying to help check me in, asked me yet again if my name was Tiffany. Really, she didn't remember me from 1 hour before. Not the best impression they could have made.
To me the massage was pricey. $70 for an hour massage seems like a lot when there are absolutely no other amenities to use while there.
