The wait was extremely short in the ER and I was seen somewhat fast I really shouldn't have any complaints... this is my favorite hospital to go to and they've always taken care of me BUT my nurse Chloe who was nice enough definitely needs to go about giving ivs a different way. She couldn't find my vein so instead of trying to get me to get my blood flowing she decided to just keep poking around inside my skin. She did this about 6/7 times until she pulled the needle out leaving the tubing in there. Just to stick me in my arm further up a few times which made my arm kind of sore already. She took the needle out again and when I said "hey maybe we can take the tube out from my forearm" the reply was " well if you leave it in it doesn't cause bruising " and stuck me a third time in the same arm and eventually getting the vein. While I appreciate the quick help in the ER while I was sick I didn't appreciate being poked that many times and then looking at my forearm that's swollen and bruised after.
