| - This place is a must - at least once. It's old, supper club, rat pack cool vibe is kitchy and fun. There was a payphone in the bathroom and even a wall ash tray! If you like that sort of thing, and good food, you will like this place.
I read that you enter through the kitchen, which we did and it's pretty common. I liked that but so foreign to me at the same time. We had a reservation and were seated right away.
They bring out a little veggie plate with radishes, olives, green onions, carrots and celery. If they had liver pate, I would have really been transported in time! You also get a round of bread with sauteed garlic, leeks, onions and yummy goodness.
Between the 3 of us, a Filet, the Delmonico and Scallops. Everything was great. The steaks were just delicious with perfect seasoning and char. We also had 1 appetizer and drinks all around and 2 deserts. The shrimp cocktail was wonderful, perfectly cooked, HUGE shrimp with nice, zesty cocktail sauce. Honestly though - the beef is the star.
The service was impeccable.
This will not be a regular place for us, more of a special occasion type as it is expensive. It came to just over $100 per person and only one of us got an appetizer. Worth it though to me!
