First, I booked this hotel fully expecting to lower my hotel-snobbery a bit but dayum! I walk into a time warp back to the year this place was constructed... 1999. I can hear that Prince song in my head. You know the one.
Here's my breakdown:
- price: 4 - 5 (not motel cheap but good enough)
- customer service at check-in: 3:5 - 4 (the young ladies did their best)
The room:
- old AF. But visibly clean.
- Is this stucco on the walls and ceiling?
- bathroom: could use a makeover. The counter is coming off of the wall.
Ventilation:
- Day #1: If you have allergies, you will die here. The vent blows directly on the bed. Had to use the pillow and chair to block it until my throat and eyes started burning. Ugh, now I have this annoying cough.
- Day #2: front desk sent someone up to change the filter which made things a little better. But why is this not standard?
Good thing I'm only held up in here for a couple of days.
Noise level:
- None. I think I'm the only fool in this hotel. Haven't heard or seen a sole. Oh God, it's the Bates Motel! Wait. Let me stop. Lol.
