Somethings are so good you want to keep it all to yourself. But I will share this one because I'm fond of the place. "Mom" in the kitchen arrived from Genoa (Italy) only a few months ago and does not speak English yet! Her cooking is authentic and perfectly "home" style Italian. We had the gnocchi in pesto- whoa, I've never liked pesto before and this dumplings are light and hand made. I can tell, it's different. My friend had the lasagna which was a perfect balance of meat and cheeses. The sauce, I'm rather certain, was home made as well. They can still do this because it's a tiny, family owned restaurant. The specials are usually "my grandmother's _____". I like that. It feels like my family owns the place and I can go there to eat, without having to run it.
I've made myself hungry writing this. It's Sunday morning 9am and I find myself wanting gnocchi with tomato sauce. Does that make me Italian?!
Go here, and save me a seat ;)
