  • This theatre is so comfortable and high-tech that it made me think "After Earth" was a good movie for around two hours before my critical analysis skills kicked back in. The reclining seats here are so big and spacious that you'll never even need to see your date if you don't want to. (That is a thing. Armrests are not adjustable. Don't have your first date here unless you're super conservative or something.) There is a tray that can be adjusted, so you never have to sit up to grab a snack. It's basically like sitting on the couch at home, just with a much bigger screen and an amazing surround sound system. The service here is ok. They may not be the most sociable, but they're quick and get the job done, which is all I expect. I love how the theatre now has ticket machines, too, so getting tickets is even faster. Yay for efficient service! There is a strict no-electronics policy at this theatre, which all the staff are careful to enunciate to their guests. I'm pretty sure I heard it four times just in one single visit, not counting the advertisement that plays right before the movie. The only aspect of the Galaxy Theatre that doesn't sit well with me is the pricing of the food and drinks. They are undeniably overpriced, even more so than the food and drinks in regular theatres. Don't get me wrong. I wouldn't mind the pricing if the food was of higher quality than the food in regular theatres, but it's not. It's the same thing. And it's double the price. What is this, Disneyland? Just no. Overall, a great place to watch movies minus snacks and intimacy.
