| - This review is of the corporation as a whole, not this specific location. I'm giving this corporation 2 stars as benefit of a doubt. My experience with them to date rates less than zero. This is just another profit-focused corporation, which is what passes for health "care" in Las Vegas. I called the uneducated, untrained staff at the appointment number March 23 and told them I had had 4 heart attacks and had symptoms of congestive heart failure. The serious, potentially life-threatening nature of my illness made no difference; I couldn't get an appointment until May 10. I didn't get to see a cardiologist until May 29, even though I was referred as an at-risk patient. The cardiologist ordered an angiogram (an invasive, painful procedure instead of the safer echocardiogram that could diagnose heart failure). Thanks to the byzantine structure involving the "contract" connected to this procedure, it still has not been scheduled, and it's now June 2. People can die trying to get care in Las Vegas. This kind of delay in treating serious illnesses does NOT happen in states where doctors have private practices. If I had known how poor and corporatized health "care" is here, I never would have accepted the professional position I hold even though I love my job dearly.
In addition, agents of this corporation give me conflicting information. If I happen to get the "right" person on the phone, I can get some help. But I've been that lucky only once in over a dozen contacts with this corporation.
We deserve better treatment than these health corporations provide. This is not consumer crap; it' our LIVES.
