  • After reading the reviews, I now know this company was formerly known as Avalon Appliance. They now have the name ABM Appliance. I wish I can give them ZERO STARS. A BIG FAT ZERO is what they deserve! I was scheduled with ABM Appliance because of an extended warranty purchased through Home Depot for a washer. After taking time off work for that day, they called the evening before telling me they couldn't come out and I had to reschedule. So we scheduled for the tech to come out 8/6, but told them to have the tech call at least 30 minutes prior to arriving. I received a call from them saying the tech was almost here and it would take 5 minutes. The tech, Peter, looked extremely young, comes in with just a clipboard, and without any greeting or any eye contact from him, he goes straight to the washer, doesn't even look inside of the washer, and immediately turns on the cycle. I explained to him the issues we were experiencing with the washer, but he glared at me and demanded not to speak because it wasn't "helping him in any way". Appalled at what he had just said, after asking if he was having a bad day, he told me that he needed to "listen" to the washer instead of hearing what the problems were from me. He then gets his cellphone and calls his office, speaking in a foreign language, starts to fill out the invoice. Once he got off the phone, he tears the copy of the invoice, throws it at me and tells me that he's refusing service to me and walks out. I asked for his name, and he looked at me and pointed at his shirt and told me to read it. He was only around for less than 3 minutes. I have never experienced anything like this. I called the office, talked to a lady with a strong accent, and told her what had happened and how the technician was incompetent and extremely rude, except she had an arrogant and condescending tone as well. She basically told me since the technician refused to give service there was nothing they could do on their part. I asked to speak with a supervisor and was told that he was very busy, that there was already several people who were asking to speak with him and that she would have him call me by the end of the day. It is not August 9th and I have yet to hear from their office. DO. NOT. USE. THIS. COMPANY !!!
