This Laos Market is truly the epitome of a "hole in the wall" joint. While its location is situated in the less desirable part of Vegas, once entering the store you'll be overwhelmed by the vast amount of Asian (specifically Laotian and Thai) products and have that sense of a mom and pop shop in the country of Laos. While it is mostly a market for buying fresh veggies and other Asian products, they do sell fresh and made-to-order Thai and Laotian food - which is what I normally take the trip out there for, the food. I have been going here for years and I never had any complaints to make, and today was no different. Not only is the food super authentic, the workers there are extremely friendly.
I always wind up ordering/buying the following:
-Thum muk hung (papaya salad): Made-to-order and you have to select your level. I usually stick with "medium"-it's the perfect amount of spice without the mouth burning sensation that no longer lets you enjoy your food.
-Chicken larb: Super light and fresh ground chicken salad within fresh herbs and spices.
-Spicy Thai sausage
-Thai beef jerky
-Sticky rice
You definitely can't go wrong with anything you order at this market and always skip on the restaurant food so I can go straight to this market to satisfy my cravings for spicy food.
