  • Finally a coffee shop that's in our building! JJ Beans is a Vancouver based coffee company that just opened up their new franchise location in Toronto. Competing with Starbucks, McDonalds and Tim Hortons, JJ Bean catering to a range of coffee lovers (and vegans) with a wide selection of roasts and two daily special coffee beans of the day they promote at the counter. The layout of the venue is beautiful with warm earthy contemporary decor displaying its healthy options from fruit parfaits, cookies and yogurts to its vegan muffins and baked goods. Today being my first experience I decided to try their Caffe Americano to play it safe. Two small Americanos came to $6.20, which was reasonable for the quality you're paying for. The staff are super friendly, but most of all are very knowledgeable baristas as one of them was able to provide me the breakdown of roasts and how they prepare them. Prices are reasonable for the 'quality', but if you're looking for quantity please go elsewhere. Since I am a Starbucks person, I cannot be bias however JJ Bean has impressed me with their quality, service and expertise. Glad you're here!
