  • My experience happened a few months back, but just now getting around to writing the review. Premier Dental was recommended to me by a co-worker as I was new to the area and needed to find a dentist. I've found a much better one in the mean time. Anyways, my first impression when walking in was that it was a bit tacky with a neon board announcing a sale on a particular procedure (I've never seen such a thing in a dentist's office and felt more like a nail salon). I also noticed that the employees wore headsets, so they could keep in contact with the front, each other, etc.. which I thought was a pretty good idea, at first. The x-ray gun seemed to only work half the time, and felt like they shot me 100 extra times with it, taking forever. Then during my cleaning someone kept talking in my hygienist's ear and she kept saying she was almost done, which made my cleaning very rushed and unsatisfying. Lucky me, had to go back to have cavities filled... My next visit: Another thing I found strange, and again something that was new to me, was that they had me pay prior to having my cavities filled. I have insurance, and the cost was not all that great, so wasn't exactly sure why. How life typically goes, the service is performed and payment follows. I was then called back to have my procedure done and they first did the numbing injections, they then said the doctor would be in a few minutes. About 40 minutes later the dentist comes in... I was on the verge of leaving, but he came in prior to the time I set in my head as to when I would just get up and leave. The dentist was nice, and was really the only plus in this whole story. While working he discovered another cavity right next to the one he was already working on and asked if I wanted to have it done while I was there. They worked up a quote and told me I would have to pay that portion after I was all done, since I already paid for the other work up front. I agreed and they did the additional work as well. They then reminded me a couple more times before leaving that I would have to pay on my way out.... I'm not sure if they have people jumping out the windows to avoid paying or what but it got a little ridiculous, and they just came across money hungry.
