| - This self, car wash location has a bay set up as a self washing station for pets too, of which is pretty handy for me and my pooch. A super large tub, with a pull out ramp brings Fido up from the floor a couple of feet, so eliminates the need to bend over him - which my back appreciates. It also makes it easier to see what you're doing. Plus the hand held, commercial dishwasher type sprayer allows for good water pressure and easy reach of all sides of the dog.
You can pay with either bills, coins or card then dial in your selection of options from rinse, to several shampoo options, conditioner, a power dry, even a tub sanitizing option. Although the water temperature is tepid rather than warm, which is a little cool for my thin skinned canine but in 7 minutes it's all over, but the crying. The allotted 7 minute time frame seems ample enough for my medium sized, short haired pup to get the full treatment. If you need a little more time you can opt to crank in another buck or two. But if you let the time run out completely, it'll cost you another full $7 bucks. A sign, saying so much, is posted on site.
This dog wash facility has never failed to function in my almost monthly visits since 2012, aside from last visit (Feb.2017) in which there was no shampoo available from any of the options. I happen to be on site at the same time as the maintenance guy, who looked at it, then much to my chagrin, did not fix it and directed me to contact the company for the kindly requested refund. I'm thinking, "Okay, that's like pissing in the wind." But I left a handwritten note with the guy and sent a subsequent email anyway.
I'm happy to report - I didn't even 'get wet'.
Not only did I hear back from the company, but in a timely manner I received a full refund for my un-washed dog, a coupon good for one free car wash (at one of the other locations waaaay north or west, of which I will never use), plus a scented air freshener for the car, to boot!
All in all, pretty cool of you, Weiss Guys.
Thanks!
