  • UPDATE: the front desk/ check in should be informed of what insurances you do and don't accept. To avoid people receiving enormous bills. Currently trying to deal with a 10K bill for the hour and a half I was there!! I went in two Saturday's ago, with mid/lower abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting. I failed the PO test and couldn't keep anything down so finally after 4 hours of pain & having 6 episodes of projectile vomiting... I decided to go to the ER (since it was a 11:30 PM and all UC were closed). According to Siena's wait time it would be hours before I got called back, which made sense because it's one of the main ERs. So I opted for something extremely close to home. I came in, the woman at the front desk was sweet & got me signed in and checked in fairly quick. It was only 3-4 minutes before I got called back. I was triaged & placed into an exam room. Within roughly 30 minutes, my vitals were complete, labs were drawn, I did a urine test and I was just waiting for the doctor. The on call ER doctor for that evening was Dr. Daniel Pendleton, he came in... did an exam on my abdomen and even sat down to talk about the medications I am currently on and what could've caused so much discomfort. (WHAT ER DOCTOR SITS DOWN TO TALK? None of them!) He then ordered IV fluids and nausea medications. I was d/c around 1:30AM, that's only 2 hours that I was in the ER... which in my book is amazing. For those who comment saying that they thought it was urgent care/clinic... there is a pretty decent size "ER now open sign" right in the front. I guess everyone's experience is different, but if I can avoid Siena's wait times & be treated exactly the same if not better thEn I'll continue to come here for emergency needs.
