IT is fair to say that this branch of Sugar Marmalade has been serving the downtown student community with fast delivery and somewhat sophisticated desserts. But when it comes to the actual taste of their main dish, one can hardly agree that this is the best cheap eat available. We ordered, among other things, some Taiwanese style popcorn chicken on the phone for a dinner delivery, but without a rhyme or reason we got the food served on rice, which was considered a main dish, and hence we were charged extra. The oil that was used to fry the popcorn chicken has been repeatedly used because of the strong staleness in the aftertaste. And don't be fooled by the marvelous design of the menu, as the portion speaks otherwise: the rice that came with the chicken took up 75% of the weight of the entire container.
Bottom line: only get the sweets (but not the bubble tea or coffee, there are far better ones), and forget about the main dishes if you are serious about the taste of food, and your health.
