After about 4 hours of traveling, we settled on dinner here as it was still open at 9pm on a Wednesday night (and also because of the 4 stars.)
The pizzas looked good, but the hubs and I were in the mood for some Italian.
We were seated right away and waters on the table almost immediately. We put in our drink order for a refreshing pinot grigio and the fritto misto. The wine went well with our meal.
The fried calamari and shrimp were well seasoned and crispy. The dipping sauce was a step above the average cocktail sauce.
The husband got the large Cavatelli Porchetta and loved it. There was a good amount of pork in the dish and the house made pasta was like biting into a good cheese. That sauce though. Man it was flavorful! Just the right amount of kick. He killed the dish.
I ordered the spicy seafood linguine. I loved the spiciness! It definitely had a Louisiana seafood boil taste to it. The small plate was enough food for me. I didn't even finish all of the noodles.
Service was solid. The server was knowledgeable and descriptive about the menu.
I could see us coming back, especially to try their happy hour.
