| - So after a month later of the store's opening, has the hype died down yet? Not really. I did manage to get some pens/pencils last weekend, which were pretty well priced, but only after having to put up with the horde surrounding the pen section like piranhas going open season on a dead carcass to get them, which doesn't make for a fun experience to say the least.
Sadly, the scenario above currently describes an IDEAL scenario where you are able to get your hands on damn things. They've somehow underestimated the demand by a long shot, resulting in the said pens going out of stock more often than they are not, among a whole bunch of other things that too suffer the out of stock syndrome. While this isn't Target levels of bad, it's a scary sign that when Uniqlo opens in Toronto (if they ever do), we will likely see a crowd of biblical proportions descend upon it for months to come. In the meantime, Muji's long awaited arrival here makes it one less thing to prioritize bringing back during trips to NYC/Asia, which is never a bad thing. It's just that everyone else and their dog thought the same, too.
