  • I have lived here for six months after moving from Citiscape residences in DOWNtown Phoenix. Granted my 21st floor view of South Mountain was breathtaking, the management and general attitude of the hotel Palomar next door(see my review of Hotel Palomar) was enough to make me leave and still pay 2 more months rent and not actually live there. Horrible. Now, Cooper 202. I've read some of the reviews here and the really negative ones seem to be complaints but not really knowing what is going on. In any apartment complex I would suggest reserving a parking space. It is worth it. The management is incredibly responsive to the needs of the tenants. The maintenance is quick, professional and responsive also. The neighbors appear to be cognizant that others live in the community and because management is so responsive it gives this complex a community feel. Of course you're going to have a neighbor here or there you don't like. Trust me, those people just aren't happy people and they move often. Also, any person who dumps their garbage in the middle of the parking lot because Valet Waste picks up only Sunday through Thursday is more reflective that those people are just jerks that don't care about other people rather than the complex's management( and by the way, I too saw people dumping garbage in the lot when I moved in but not anymore. ) The amenities are well kept and laid out in a way that is convenient to everyone( hey maybe not the best for me BUT the placement is BEST for everyone) Storage: omg I am 60 and have that many years of stuff and I have so much storage it looks empty. Outside: the pool, dog spa, dog area ( and I don't even have a dog) are top notch. Convenience: Cooper Rd is the best of all surrounding 202 arteries. You can pull out of the complex and go left or right without risking the remaining days of your short life. Check out other on/off ramps. And McQueen? Well if you don't like the smell of cow manure stay away from that area. Price: I'm paying $800 a month less than I paid for a similar apartment downtown. The view you say? Trust me after 30 days downtown, the only thing that changes is the smog. It's the same view everyday and like the Grand Canyon... you've seen pictures?....Same thing. How long are you supposed to look? My balcony is perfect. I'm thankful mine can be seen through Bc I don't think I'd like to look at a wall. Downtown on my balcony... I had to go inside to turn around it was so narrow. Generally....Color me HAPPY. If you are a nice person I'd welcome more neighbors.
