  • I have taken my dogs here multiple times, but it seems that the service and care has been getting progressively worse, with this last stay being unacceptable. I arrived after a week vacation to pick up my dogs, and I noticed immediately that my pekingese looked very dirty, and had quite a bit of poo crusted to his tail and bum hair, and also poo on his side and mane where I'm guessing he laid in it (more on that in a second). I mentioned it to the female employee who was helping carry out their food and bedding to the car, and she just acknowledged it as if it was normal, and kept walking. As soon as we arrived at home, I took both dogs to the backyard, took pictures, and then immediately washed them. The pug had poo smeared in her hair as well, but it was not as bad as the pekingese, and it came right out with a shampoo. The pekingese was another story. His tail hair and bum hair was stuck together because of the dried out poo, and there was even more poo backed up and stuck behind the dried out chunks. It was AWFUL! I was shocked and disgusted that they would leave my dog in that condition. And while I don't expect anyone to groom my dog while staying there, I do expect that they would at least rinse him off or do something so that he is not sitting and sleeping in his own feces. Needless to say, their bed had poo on it, which explains why the pug also ended up with poo on her coat as well. After washing them both, I immediately called Wiggles & Wags and spoke with the young lady who was answering the phones. I expressed my disgust, and she said she would have Tammy (one of the owners) call me back. A short time later, Tammy returned my phone call, and asked if they could offer a free grooming session for my dog or a credit for a future stay with them. I politely explained that they were already washed, so a grooming wouldn't be necessary, and it was unlikely that I would be brining my dogs back after this, so I wouldn't need a credit for a future stay either. I explained that I would prefer, at the very least, a small refund to at least cover the cost of replacing their dog bed. She suggested that they don't give refunds, but that she would talk to Howard (the other owner) and then get back to me. After two days, I had not received a call back, so I called them. Tammy answered and gave an excuse about her A/C not working so she was busy with that and hadn't talked to Howard yet. She then suggested that my dog might have had an accident in the car to try and shift the blame onto me, but as I mentioned above, and mentioned to her in our initial conversation, I noticed his condition immediately, and said something to the staff as we were leaving, so her new rebuttal was a poor excuse at best. So I again explained that this wasn't possible considering I mentioned it while still at her establishment, at which point she hung up on me. I am not a difficult person, and simply asked to be refunded a small amount to cover the cost of the ruined dog bedding. It was a small request by a customer who has used their business multiple times in the past. I find it appalling that a business would conduct itself it such a distasteful manner. I will be forwarding the pictures and documents to the local news investigative team, which helps bring light to companies that take advantage of paying customers. BEWARE!!
