I bought tickets on Groupon before reading the Yelp reviews... and when I got around to reading them, I almost didn't go to this event. I'm extremely happy that I decided to give it a whirl. However, I did follow several Yelpers advice and had a pretty awesome time. Tips are: Arrive a little bit before it opens. We showed up at 10:45, got great free parking, hit up about 10 food trucks and were stuffed to the gill and left around 1. Another tip, bring cash. Not entirely sure why they even entertain optional tokens but it seems pretty useless. All trucks took cash and cards but cash was the fastest and easiest. Last tip, walk around before hitting every food truck. We got excited and started asap--- being full by the end and wanting more (but unable to eat). The food selections were a wide variety and there was enough bar stands. The only negative was little shade and seating. Our favorite truck was International truck of Tacos. Holy S*^%... their blackened shrimp taco was Heaven. Maybe after a few years Street Eats finally got it together, however, those going at other prime times in the day may have not had the same experience.
