  • I'm glad Gina wrote a review, because it reminded me that I should have done so, also. Rosie did my cakes for my wedding 5 years ago. I was referred to her by our good friends who had her do their wedding cake also. I was really happy that she suggested a real money saver for us. She made a beautiful 3 tier cake for us to cut at the reception and sheet cakes to be served. If we had to serve everyone off our tiered cake it would have to be HUGE and probably very expensive! The sheet cakes were much cheaper to serve our large party. What was most impressive to me is her fondant. Usually, I find fondant to be kind of gritty and have a bad taste. Hers was amazing though! We had buttercream on the sheet cakes and that was SO good! It wasn't the typical mouth-puckering sweet that is on most cakes. Holy cow, it was so good. I had many people compliment me on the cake. We also had several different fillings in the cakes (one different filling per cake). The chocolate cake with the raspberry was stunning. At our reception, the caterers left the top of our cake out on a table and somebody cut into it so we couldn't freeze it and eat it on our anniversary. The caterers felt awful and contacted Rosie to make a duplicate top to replace it. She did and wrapped it carefully so it would freeze well. It sat in my parents' deep freeze for a year and on our anniversary we ate it. Eating 1 year old, frozen cake isn't usually appealing, but I went with tradition, however, because Rosie was so careful in wrapping it up it was actually really, really, good! On our three year anniversary I went back to Rosie to make another cake. It was the same as our original top tier. It didn't disappoint. I'm going to get another one for our 6 year anniversary! I'm salivating just thinking about it now! I've recommended Rosie to all my local friends who are getting married. Her cakes are just great! She's really friendly, listenens to what you want and produces a great tasting and beautiful cake for a great price. You can't go wrong!
